What are hormones?

When we think about hormones, we regularly think in a woman; however, although many people do not believe it, hormones control the body, both women and men.

We have a lot of hormones in our body and it is believed that they are not all discover. In everyday life, we talk about 50 hormones that handle both basic and complex functions of our body: We depend on them with regard to how we feel, how much energy we have, our stamina, —physical strength—, our libido, our metabolism, our weight and growth and many more.

What hormones depend on?

Literally, our body makes them every day so we can work optimally and survive, as well as procreating. We are designed to keep the human species alive and the hormones are part of evolution.

Each time you eat your hormones change, they respond to what you eat. The type and quality of raw material that you give to your body is essential to your hormones. For example, there is a huge difference between eating a food from a farm, organic, and eating a genetically modified food with pesticides and fertilizers, or if you eat a banana vs a candy from a factory: the hormonal response is different!

In general, it can be said that hormones react to many activities of your body: how much you sleep, how you sleep, if you sit in front of a computer all the time or you go out and sunbathe, among others.

Hormones are messengers of our body that respond to stimulus and depend on how you handle your body and the food you eat that will determine how you feel; whether you are a woman or a man.

It’s always best to be careful about what you eat and the quality of your food.
